They just wanted to use all there massively powerful monsters against each other. My trap deck always took everyone to school just because they were stupid enough to not have much else but monsters.

That and my good friend Labyrinth Wall.

I first started by collecting Pokemon cards, but I didn't know how to play it. When that died down, my friend introduced me to yugioh, a game where I could actually play, instead of looking at cool pictures all the time.

edit: haha. since we're talking about the good ole days, I remember when me and my friend thought that a bigger deck was a better deck so every pack we got, we just piled it onto our decks:D that was fun.

i had believed that bigger was better once, but as i learned i realized that the closer to 40 you are the better chances you have of getting what you need.

especially with a minimum opening hand of 6; making your deck 34 cards.

I have no idea when I started Yu-Gi-Oh!. All I know is that I started with the first Yugi deck.

I really want to get into Magic . . but I fear it will tear into my bank account like no tomorrow.

In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete, drawn only to be washed away . .
I'd rather you hate me for everything I am
Than have you love me for something that I'm not

magic is no where near as expensive as yugioh....packs are cheaper and values are based on playability not whether its pretty or plain.

I'm sure any card game, if you get into it, will kill your bank account.

The best way to start would be to find someone who used to play, and have them give you/lend you/sell you for cheap their cards.

They tell me this will work one day

very true senator....but that also works in any TCG. plus the occasional flea market in the summer is a great way to get cards cheap.
