How did you start?

what got your started playing TCG's?

Yours truly started Yugioh b/c I had friends who played that convinced me to start and after watching them play I was hooked.

I'm also starting to dable with Magic since I know people that play that also.

I always wanted to get into Magic, but never got started in it. Then a friend who felt the same way decided to get us both into Yugioh to play against each other. Then he didn't have the time or money to playt anymore. So I duel online for lack of opponent's near me.

Me and my brothers saw a commercial for the TV show and thought it looked cool. Then we saw a commercial for the starter decks coming out and went to Toy's r us and bought them the day they came out. We also entered a worldwide contest and they were giving away cards(before any starter decks/sets came out) we got a "Summoned Skull".

Well my first one was pokemon and my cousin bought the starter deck where you got gyrados in it and it got us all hooked.

As far as Yu-gi-oh goes the show wasnt out yet but they released the starter decks and I was just walking through Toys R us and I saw them and it peaked my interest. I especially liked the D magician one so I bought it and thats what got me hooked

wow, summoned skull as a give-away; that had to be when it first started based on how old that card is.

Ya like I said no cards were out at the time. And we got lucky enough and won him. He was also very good when the first set/starter decks came out.

Back around the begining of middle school, I started making friends with a new group of people than I'd hung out with in elementary school, and it turned out that many of them played Magic... this was back around the time of Urza's Saga and the few sets before it.

They tell me this will work one day

I dabbled in Pokemon, mostly in collecting. Magic has been my off and on game of skill. My Yugioh phase was dulled by the fact that no-one I met played by decent rules (illegal decks, and they wanted to play no-sacrifice?, man. Why not just reenact the TV series?).

Pokemon: 2nd-3rd grades
Magic: 5th?-Present day
Yugioh: Unknown
