Brock Lesnar
Any thoughts? I personally think he's going to turn it around after this lose but it still makes me happy regardless. |

I am really mad that he lost, I really wanted him to win. But it's not surprising that he lost, he just started UFC so he doesn't know every holds and techniques just yet. Give him some and he should fair well in UFC. I bet the the ratings were off the roof for that match.

Now with that all said it was one match, but for turning his back on WWE I hope he loses every match his quitter **** gets in. |

I saw the fight last night. I was rooting against Lesnar because of all the trash-talking he was doing despite having only one MMA fight under his belt, and none in the UFC. He was a lot more competitive than I thought he'd be. He was actually real close to getting a first round knockout. He knocked Mir to the ground and was beating the **** out of him, but then he hit him in the back of the head and the ref stopped the fight to subtract a point. After that, it wasn't too surprising to see him get caught in a submission. The guy is pure power, but lacks the experience and technique to be one of the top fighters. His BJJ needs work.

First off I believe it is called a knee bar.. Also Brock was way to hot headed to win this fight.. he came on strong and did not watch his back (legs) a huge wrestling and amature mistake to make.. But here me on this brock will get much better he needs a few losses to really spark his MMA carrer...

I saw the fight yesterday, and Brock was on fire at first, he was beating the crap out of the guy, punching him on the head, but then he left himself open and Mir took advantage of him and made him submit. I don't think Lesnar will do that mistake again. After a few more trainning and few more fights to gain experience I believe Lesnar can do some huge damage in UFC.
I hate UFC but I'll watch it if Lesnar is fighting. |

I didn't see the match but from what I heard he did very well and was dominating the fight until he made a mistake(which ended the match). I would have liked to see him win but it's only his first match and if he keeps doing this he'll be a champ.

Lesnar is never going to be champ, sorry. Frank Mir isn't that good. He hasn't been good since his motorcycle crash. He looked very slow in the fight against Lesnar and was lucky his opponent was so unskilled. All the heavyweight contenders are much faster, stronger, more precise than Mir. Lesnar has a lot of work to do.

Echoes you hit it on the nail, he has a lot of work to do, so did every UFC fighters when they first started. Brock is new to the sport, he knows that he has a lot to learn to become an elite fighter in UFC, and it will take time, this was his first match obviously he'll make mistakes, everyone does even champions. After Lesnar adjust to the sport, I'm sure he'll be just fine.
