As we reported here earlier this week, Mick Foley has been unhappy with his role as color commentator on SmackDown! and is considering leaving WWE when his contract expires in the coming weeks. There has been talk of holding him off television this week to sell the angle he did with Edge at the end of last week's Smackdown, but it should be noted that the Edge angle was not specifically written as a way to get Foley off television.
The main factor contributing to Foley's unhappiness is Vince McMahon yelling into his headset during SmackDown! broadcast. McMahon regularly feeds lines to and communicates (note: yells at) WWE announcers while they are working and Foley is said to be at the end of his rope.
There was an incident that took place several months back while Mick Foley was calling SmackDown! with Michael Cole. Foley felt that Vince got so out of line with his yelling that he called Vince later that night to discuss the situation. Although sources indicate that Vince has toned i down while producing Foley since then, Mick is still bothered by the way he and other announcers have been produced.
Foley is expected to appear at SummerSlam in some capacity, but that show is being seen as a possible end-date for Foley if he chooses not to sign a new deal the company.
I really hope Foley doesnt leave and they can work something out. He's the only saving grace of the commentating position right now.

I never knew Vince did that. Wow, he sure does alot of work. More than I expected. O_O
I disagree with Foley here. Bosses yell, it's what they do. Vince is also trying to help him out by pitching him lines. Heck, Vince IS doing his job for him by pitching him lines. Perhaps get Foley off the air and replace him with Vince.
Vince's been yelling in the head sets for the longest time, he did with Jim Ross on Raw and he was doing to Michael Cole on Raw as well. This doesnt surprise me at all. If he does leave I'll be disapointed, but I understand where he's coming from. But I'm sure he'll be back with the WWE if he does leave.

I don't know about this, there are so many bogus commentator reports out there. Ill believe it when it happens.

I use to think the same thing, too, then eventually I just started to voice my opinion on everything even if it was falsely reported. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't. I still like to voice my opinion from the speculation and the report. I also like reading what other people think whether if the report is true or not.
Yeah, the only reason why Mick won't be there is because he got injured by the hands of Edge on the last Smackdown.
I think Mick Foley would be a great General Manager on Smackdown, I'm sure if could do a way better job then Vicky is doing.
But I doubt it will happen, he'll eventually leave in my opinion, then you'll see him re-appear in a few months like he always does.
