Angry Paul London and Palumbo got future endeavor'd

That's right, future endeavor'd:

Quote:
Paul London and Chuck Palumbo released
Written: November 7, 2008

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Superstars Paul London and Chuck Palumbo as of Nov. 7, 2008. WWE wishes them the best in all future endeavors.

It's a shame, I thought Paul was slightly better than Brian and WWE decided to release Paul instead. Sad news.

Chuck gets moved to a different brand while having a semi-good push on SmackDown!, does nothing for months and now gets released!? Why didn't they just keep him on SmackDown!? I thought he was pretty good in the ring. His gimmick wasn't that good, though, I thought.

Yeah, Paul is class. I loved him. Now that london's free, I hope ROH get him and actually use him.

Polumbo is sort of Whatever. I saw it coming. I enjoy polumbo but his gimmick never got over. You could see it. Some of his matches where completely dead

Palumbo's resurrection of the 'Bikertaker' gimmick, regardless of its solid basis in his real-life persona, never seemed to get over with fans. He wasn't popular in WCW; he wasn't popular in WWF/E. Why they would choose to retain Brian over Paul, though, I'll never know. Homie's schtick creeps me out with its ambiguously gay rock star vibe.

There will be more cuts. The Company in the person of Linda McMahon announced this week its intention of cutting 20% from future operating costs. I just hope that the gimmickless and uncharismatic Jack Swagger will be next to go -- did any of you catch the fan yelling, "You're putting me to sleep!" during Swagger's in-ring promo on Tuesday?

I was never fan of either of them, I knew it was coming soon, London as been waiting for the WWE to call him, but they never did. So now hes out of a job, I personally never thought he was all that impressive. Same thing with Palumbo. Like Turkey mentioned, he was pretty big in WCW, but was nothing in the WWE.

But we'll always have his Billy and Chuck gay marriage memories, won't we? XD

I agree with you, Atreyu, Brian needs to go to ROH and become big there. Just like Jamie Noble did. ;)

Now I'm wondering why they changed Layla's last name to London, as I recently read, and whether or not that will ever become 'TV official' now that Paul is out.

Thank you Vince. Thank you so much for finally firing him. Its about time. Now its time to see him in the indies. Hopefully ROH. I want to see him face Nigel. Also, Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black, Bryan Danielson, etc. Those would be some fun matches. If not ROH, even NJPW or NOAH. London versus Marufuji could be fun. Or London versus KENTA.

I always liked Paul London but he's definitely the Marty Jannetty of this Rockers rip off. Kendrick is the Shawn Michaels. Doubt he'll ever get to that status but apparently WWE likes the blondes over the brunettes.

Definitely agree on Palumbo...just never got into him at all. The man has zero charisma...none. They tried to make him heel and nobody gave a rats ****.

As far as I know they are high on Jack Swagger...I wouldnt expect to see him gone just yet.

You had to mention the Billy and Chuck thing eh?

Well Billy Gunn is acting gay on TNA so maybe Chuck should go over there and reform the team.

Yeah, I know. Even Ross is singing his praises. Why don't I see it?

Hey, that's right; that could actually happen! Not that I need another reason not to watch Impact, or iMpAcT!!1, or w/etf.

I think he's got a good look with that sarcastic smile of his and in the ring he looks polished and with more work can be good but for now I'm iffy on him as well. Hasn't done anything great yet by any means.
